Professional Care & Home Comforts
This additional second person space was created in 2016 and has evolved to become a “life care” option. It is available to folks who are still quite active, but mindful of their impending changes and would prefer a situation in which they can live independently in most ways now, while also enjoying the benefits of meals, laundry, cleaning, and other assistance, and perhaps, more importantly, have the security of not needing to move later – should they become seriously ill and less able, and of having the valuable security and comfort of previously established familiarity and relationship.
This new additional space offers more options for the individual, but also for his or her family too. It provides comfortable furniture for gathering, resting and reclining, and a stove and a refrigerator, and all while allowing a fair degree of privacy. It is also directly connected to the house proper, the guest bedroom remains available if needed, and the furniture can be removed to accommodate one’s own.
